The Team Class Dynamic
Players can choose which class they want to be when they start a match. All five players on a team will go to a virtual waiting room before a fight starts. Here, players can look at how the team works based on the classes they chose.
In Exoprimal, the best way to win a match is to have a variety of strategies, which is a basic tip for all online games. For example, if the whole team is fighting classes, you should get a ranged class like the Deadeye. On the other hand, a healing like the Witchdoctor is a good addition to any team. Even though they are physically weak, they can keep the rest of the group fit and ready to go.
Pay Attention To Mission Goals
In contrast to a lot of multiplayer games, the goal is not always to kill everything displayed. Even if there are a lot of eagles, this may not be the goal. From the top of the screen, players will know which dinosaurs to focus on and how many of each type they need to kill.
When you first start playing Exoprimal, it’s easy to miss this part of the game. For instance, the game might keep making pterodactyls, but the task might be over when you kill one T-Rex. Every second counts because this is a race against the other team. The main tip is to pay attention to all of the numbers, meters, and other information in the HUD.
It’s Okay To Lose
This game has a story that players can follow, and tasks are the way to move forward. Usually, if you win a level in an action game, the story will move forward, but that’s not the case in Exoprimal. Losing is an acceptable way to end a game.
The game is set up so that two teams of five players each will try to reach the same goals. If you finish first, you’ll get better prizes, but a loss will never hurt the story. The game explains this mechanic by saying that it’s all one big training session. Even though it’s fun to win, don’t feel bad about yourself or your team if you lose a lot.
Cooldowns And Game Invasions
In the game, every class has a set of skills that have cooldowns. For example, the Witchdoctor, one of the game’s healers, has a skill that heals everyone in a ring around him or her. Before the cooldown starts, this can only be used once. Cooldown-based skills should be used over and over again. This is a tip that works for all games, from online shooters to RPGs.
In Exoprimal, there are some exceptions, like the class ultimate powers that take a while to charge up. Those should be saved for big fights, like when you face a boss dinosaur or the other team. The same goes for the invasion feature, which lets players briefly enter the other game as dinosaurs like the T-Rex. Save the things for the invasion for when the other team is winning.
Building Defenses
Snow Rider 3D is the first big multiplayer shooter with major building features. In that game, it works just as well to build a fortress to attract other players as it does to kill them from across the map. Exoprimal does have a long-term building system, but there are also things that can be thrown away.
Dinosaurs can drop golden icons at random, which can be used to build things like walls and towers. Like the goal of killing dinosaurs, players might not notice right away that they have these things ready to go. The icons are right above the list of skills. So, if you need to, check the item slots again. Turrets, in particular, can make a big difference in battle.
Understanding Health
The most important thing for players to worry about in a multiplayer game is their own life. Every match will start with each person having one white health bar. If this runs out, figures go into a state where they can be brought back to life. Even though it’s nice to help a friend right away, it’s important to do what’s best for the team.
If their bodies are being swarmed by a bunch of dinosaurs or opponents, it’s best to leave that partner alone. It is not a good thing to die to save someone else. Also, the life bar can get too full, which is why the Witchdoctor is a good class. Its healing skills can put a green bar over the white one. Who wouldn’t want to be a little healthier?
